28th of January, 2019 will witness the judgement of the Ekiti governorship election petition tribunal, filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prof. Kolapo Olusola who is challenging the victory of the All Progressive Congress, APC, candidate, Kayode Fayemi.
In view of this, Mr Asuquo Amba, has issued warnings in the state, restraining supporters of both parties from causing crisis after the judgement must have been decided. It will be recalled that the PDP candidate scored 178,223(as declared by INEC) while his counterpart, APC scored 197,459. It is against this backdrop that the PDP candidate is praying the tribunal to upturn Fayemi’s victory based on allegation of APC’s election irregularities.
