In her BEDROOM before going to BED, CAROL kneels down PRAYING fervently for JEFF.
CAROL
My father and my God, I thank you for your faithfulness and mercies upon my life, Lord I give you praise, ancient of days, I honour you; be thou exalted!
My Lord and my savior, your word says we should seek, we shall find, ask it shall be given unto us, knock and the door would be opened for us; my God, at this hour; I come to you on bended knees to ask that you do not allow the enemy to enslave the soul of your son, Jeff, because of money or the cares of this sinful world. My Lord, please deliver him from any sinister activity he’s about getting into or anything that will strain his relationship with you; show forth your favour upon him so that your glory will shine brightly in his life in Jesus Mighty name, I pray; Amen!
42. INT. JEFF’S RES. NIGHT.
JEFF sitting in their LIVING ROOM, apparently in DEEP THOUGHT which engulfs his ATTENTION till his FRIEND startles his as he comes back from WORK.

God! Why have I suddenly lost my nerve to do this ‘runs’ with the chairman? This is a life time opportunity for me to become wealthy if I actually do it, my whole life will change in deed for good, I can even retire on it but lately; why am I no longer interested and excited as I used to be about it? Could it be because of what Carol said? No! It couldn’t, who gives a hoot about that.
But she seems to be right, this deal might go awry and instead of wealth, it will bring disaster for me besides I’m a fervent Christian and God has been faithful to me all this while, no; this deal is not worth it, I shouldn’t…..
