The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has charged the new Edo State Chief Judge, Justice Esther Edigin, not to compromise in justice delivery or give justice to the highest bidder in the state.
Oba Ewuare II gave the charge when the Chief Judge paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Benin.

While congratulating her on her appointment, the Monarch advised Justice Edigin to “be bold, fearless in justice delivery and not to give justice to the highest bidder.”
He urged the new Chief Judge to ensure that the state judiciary improves under her watch, stressing that “there is room for improvement in every spheres of human endeavour.”
Speaking earlier, Justice Edigin informed the Monarch that her tenure as Chief Judge would not be longer than one and half years, but that with His Royal Majesty’s prayers, she would be able to carry out justice delivery effectively and promptly.
