Governor Abdul Qayum Rahimi of the western Herat province of Afghanistan on Sunday said three suspected cases of coronavirus had been detected in the province.
Samples of bloods of the infected persons, who returned from Qom city of Iran recently, have been sent to Kabul for diagnosis, according to the official.

Xinhua quoted the official as also reporting that the three affected persons were already under quarantine.
It was the first time suspected cases of coronavirus would be reported in Afghanistan.
