She had tested positive to the deadly killer disease ravaging the world.
Her survival is being considered a miracle as the elderly are most at risk of the virus, Iran state media, IRNA Agency reports.
Head of Semnan University of Medical Sciences, Navid Danayi, was quoted as saying the woman was discharged “after making a complete recovery”.
She becomes the second elderly patient in Iran to have survived coronavirus. The first was a 91-year-old man from Kerman, in Southeastern party of the country.
He recovered on Monday, after having pre-existing medical conditions including high blood pressure and asthma.
Coronavirus has spread to all Iran’s 31 provinces and killed nearly 1,000 people.
The disease originated from Wuhan, China, last December and has claimed about 6,500.
The global pandemic has affected nearly 30 African countries with over 150,000 cases globally.
