SA, Algeria, Egypt Top List As Africa Death Toll Hits 558
The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa has said that there are 11,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19  in the continent with 558 deaths.

The update was issued on its official Twitter account @WHOAFRO on Thursday morning.

South Africa, Algeria, and Cameroon have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported cases.

South Africa has 1,845 cases and 18 deaths, Algeria 1,572 cases with 205 deaths, while Egypt has 1450 confirmed cases with 94 deaths.

The country with the lowest confirmed case is South Sudan, which has reported only one case.

”COVID-19 cases in Africa reach over 11,000 – with 1,354 recoveries & 558 deaths reported,” WHO tweeted.

DAILY POST recalls that Africa had on Wednesday recorded 10,252 COVID-19 cases and 492 deaths.
