The Floyd’s family attorney, Ben Crump has announced that the funeral rites for George Floyd will be held on June 9.
According to him, a memorial service will be held in Minneapolis on Thursday, June 9.

Crump said at a news conference that the funeral would hold at where Floyd grew up at 11 a.m (Central Time).
Floyd died on May 25 while in police custody.
His death has sparked protests in the U.S after a viral video showed police officer Derek Chauvin pressing his knee of Floyd’s neck.
