As Nigeria celebrates its 60th Independence Anniversary, the Kogi state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, said Doctors in the state are celebrating this year’s Independence Anniversary without the implementation of Revised 2014 CONMESS for them by the State government.
In a statement signed by Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh, the Kogi State Chairman of NMA in Lokoja on Thursday, the NMA noted with sadness, the news of the Federal Medical Centre( FMC), Lokoja still under lock and key, since three months ago.

While wishing Nigerians, particularly all doctors in the country a happy Independence Anniversary, Oyiguh said “As we celebrate our 60th anniversary as a nation, let us continue to pray for a new Nigeria, with a better healthcare delivery system where Doctors, both in public and private practice are well motivated to care for humanity.
‘May we continue individually and collectively in the path of selfless service, patriotism, humility, accountability to self, nation and God as we continue to have the privilege of breath for service.’
