He dared Shehu to take up the challenge after the Presidential aide said his principal, Buhari has made Nigeria safe.
Omokri offered to pay Garba Shehu the sum of $20,000 if he spent the night in the Kware local government area of Sokoto state.
Reno wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Garba Shehu said General Buhari has made Nigeria safer. I vow to pay Garba Shehu $20000 if he will spend a night without security in Koshobe, or Kware, verified by an independent journalist. I will give the funds to @DeleMomodu when Garba accepts to go.’ Retweet so Garba sees it
But reacting to the challenge, Garba Shehu dribbled on the offer and attempted to change the topic to the issue of Leah Shaibu.
He asked Omokri to keep the money, alleging that it is part of funds made in the name of Leah Sharibu.
His tweet read: ‘If this is the money from the collections made in the name of Leah Sharibu, the unfortunate Christian girl stolen by Boko Haram, I won’t touch it with a long… Please keep “your USD20000’.
However, Reno Omokri why responding to Garba Shehu response tweeted “ I challenge you and the #Buhari administration, or anyone for that matter, to come up with proof that I made even a penny from #FreeLeahSharibu.
That aside, please focus on the issue at hand and accept my challenge. Stop dribbling.
