The Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Diaspora Affairs, Honourable Cllr Osakwe-Hibbert, former president of Nigeria His Excellency Ebere Goodluck Jonathan and several other recognisable names have made the exclusive list to a special virtual book launch by leading Diasporan expatriates, Dr & Mrs Balogun-Wilson.
The virtual book launch which would be a one-of-a-kind event would be hosted by the daughter of the couple who is also the author of the book titled: A Teenager in Lockdown – A Survivor’s Story.
The book’s author Favour Balogun-Wilson is a young writer who was inspired by the likes of Cllr Osakwe-Hibbert and other young amazons who are breaking records in their careers and endeavours. This inspiration was what pushed her to create this spectacular piece of literary art.
This is why the special invite sent to Honourable Cllr Osakwe-Hibbert was dedicated to her steadfast work as a role model and inspiration to youths, girls and young entrepreneurs in Nigeria and Africa at large. She was also commended on her leadership style and the way she has used her numerous positions to influence the lives of her wards while serving as a sterling inspiration to new generations in the diaspora business
The book launch which has been scheduled to hold virtually on the 30th of January, 2021 will be attended by a lot of dignitaries from Nigeria and other countries in the world. Some of these dignitaries include: Former President Jonathan Ebere Goodluck (GCFN, GCON), H.E Ambassador Sule Ahmed (Acting Nigerian Ambassador to the UK).
The Nigerian Presidency would be duly represented by Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa (NIDCOM Chairwoman), also scheduled for attendance are Rtd General (Professor) Martin Agwai (Former Chief of Army & Defence Staff), Rtd Brigadier SW Aliu (First female General from Rivers State), Chief Femi Fani Kayode (Former Minister of Aviation).
Some Members of the National Assembly and the Ondo State House of Assembly who are friends to the family would also be in attendance. Other academic luminaries who would be in attendance are Professor Remi Duyile (Ex Bank of America Vice President) who would also serve as the book reviewer; Professor Sidi Osho (Pioneer V.C Afe Babalola University); and numerous other dignitaries.
The US Refugees Ambassador is also on the guest list and has already secured a copy of the trending book.
The book launch event would be commencing by 18:00 (6 pm) Nigerian time or 17:00 (5 pm) UK Time.
