COVID-19: Nigeria Records 1,005 New Cases, 24 Deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 1,005 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the country to 144,521.

The health agency also confirmed the death of 24 persons due to COVID-19 complications as total fatalities jumped to 1,734.

NCDC made the confirmation on Friday night via a report on its official website.

It also said that 507 patients have recovered and have been discharged in Lagos and Plateau States. No fewer than 118,866 patients have so far recovered from the dreaded virus.

‘Our discharges today include 408 community recoveries in Lagos State and 99 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines’.
