Former CNN broadcaster and television personality, Piers Morgan has described the recent interview by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey as a disgraceful betrayal of the royal family.
Meghan in the interview revealed that she contemplated committing suicide after joining the royal family.
She accused the royal family of being racist, claiming that their official concern was about the skin color of her unborn son.
Meghan was supported by Prince Harry who did not deny the allegations.
Reacting, Piers Morgan who has been a critic of Meghan on his Twitter page, said her comments were expected but that Harry’s support to take down his family with Meghan was shameful.
According to him, Harry wants America and the world to hate the monarchy with his recent interview.
His tweets read: ‘This interview is an absolutely disgraceful betrayal of the Queen and the Royal Family. I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle – but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful.’
‘Harry wants America and the rest of the world to hate his own family, hate the Monarchy and hate his country. ‘
Piers Morgan urged those crucifying the royal family to await the stories of Meghan’s victims in the coming days, even as he described her claims as ‘false’
‘I suggest everyone waits for the victims of his wife’s rampage to have their say on her outlandish claims before they do so.’
‘I would not believe Meghan Markle if she gave me a weather report,’ his tweet added.
