Two of the thousands of inmates pardoned by Tanzania’s new President Samia Suluhu Hassan have been killed by a mob.
The two were found with stolen items, according to local media.
They were beaten to death by residents of Kibaha town in the coastal region.

Police in the region have urged the public not to take the law into their own hands and let officers handle criminals.
People have also been urged not to discriminate against former prisoners.
