A convoy conveying Somalia’s former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has come under attack in the capital, Mogadishu Africa Today News, New York reports.
His team told reporters that there had been an exchange of fire with government forces, but no one was injured or killed.

It comes days after political leaders in the country agreed on a way forward to choose a new president following months of delay and an eruption of violence in Mogadishu.
It would be recalled that Mr Mohamud led Somalia from 2012-2017.
No group has so far come out to claim responsibility for the attack.
