No fewer than 300 bandits well armed with sophisticated weapons on Sunday struck Duba community in Batsari LGA of Katsina State killing at least 12 and injuring several others.
Africa Today News, New York gathered that the bandits numbering over 300 were armed with General Purpose Machine Guns, GPMGs when they stormed Duba community, shooting sporadically into the air, after which they looted numerous shops and rustled some domestic animals belonging to the residents.

However, the police spokesman said that a joint team of security operatives are on the trail of the hoodlums as further investigation is ongoing.
Africa Today News, New York also gathered from a source in the community that the remains of the deceased were buried on Sunday and those injured are being attended to at the hospital.
Batsari local government area is one of the worst hit by bandits in the state.
