Unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits yesterday attacked a Secondary School in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State and abducted unspecified number of students.
Africa Today News, New York gathered that the incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the abductors stormed the school premises with sophisticated weapons.
Details of the incident remain sketchy at the moment but eyewitnesses say that the bandits whisked away many students.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu when contacted promised to inquire and revert.
However, according to reports, the gunmen invaded the school at about 11:30 am when the students were writing examinations.
Like other states in the country, particularly the north, Zamfara has witnessed a surge in insecurity recently as bandits continue to attack schools and kidnap students for ransom.
