Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has wished the erstwhile coach of the Super Eagles well Gernot Rohr all the best after he was sacked from his position.
Africa Today News, New York had earlier reported that Rohr was sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after more than five years in charge of the former green eagles.
The Franco-German had been in charge since 2016, leading the team to the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria finished third.

However, the performance of the team over the last 12 months made his position untenable, despite qualifying the team for next year’s AFCON and the 2022 World Cup playoffs.
Osimhen wrote on social media: ‘Thank you for everything coach and I wish you all the best.’
The 22-year-old made his Super Eagles debut under Rohr in 2017 and has now become the country’s undisputed talisman.
Osimhen scored 10 goals in 19 games under Rohr.
