The Governor of Ekiti State, Olukayode Fayemi, is set to declare for the 2023 Presidency on Wednesday (Today), in Ado-Ekiti after he concluded his consultations.
The state Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Hon. Akin Oyebode gave this hint in a video tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday which was sighted by Africa Today News, New York.
In the one-minute video tweeted by Oyebode, Fayemi unveiled his Nigeria agenda ahead of the 2023 general election.

He said, “the Nigeria of our dream is possible, a Nigeria that is the pride and joy of all, among others.”
With his 2023 presidential intentions now confirmed, the list of APC presidential aspirants in Fayemi’s southwest has been further swelled.
Also, from the southwest are two major APC presidential aspirants, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Both Osinbajo and Tinubu will now slug it out with Fayemi for the APC ticket between May 30 and June 1, when the ruling party will have its National Convention to pick candidates for the 2023 elections.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has called on the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to zone the presidential position to the southern part of the country.
Akeredolu made the call in a statement tagged ‘Our Party, APC, Must Tread The Path Of Equity‘ on Tuesday in Akure.
The governor stressed that the party could not afford any internal bickering which holds the potential promise of causing distrust and militating against cohesion, harmony and the zeal to achieve set objectives.
Akeredolu, who pointed out that the current democratic dispensation was anchored on the unwritten convention driven by a principle of Equity, Said APC must do nothing which is capable of tilting the delicate balance against the established arrangement which guarantees peace and promotes trust.
