Dr. Bukola Saraki who is a former Senate President and People’s Democratic Party, PDP Presidential hopeful has described himself as the actual bridge of unity that Nigeria needs to unify the different strata of the Nigerian society.
Saraki who is also a former governor of Kwara State, made these known in Lokoja, Kogi State capital on Sunday, at a meeting with the 98 PDP delegates from the State.

He urged delegates to vote for him, vowing to deploy technology against insecurity once he is elected.
“Being in Kogi is like being at home. Iam yours and you are mine. That is what our forefathers left for us.
“There is a bond between Kogi and Kwara. I’m a bridge between the North and the South, Young and Old, and between Christians and Muslims. What our Country needs now is Unity and I have done excellently well on this in my previous national assignments”
“I am aspiring as the next president of Nigeria. Together I believe we can make Nigeria work. Today we are so close to history to produce a Nigerian President from North central.
Saraki said he has capacity and the courage to take important decisions that will lead the economy out of the woods.
He promised to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Company and harness the vast possibilities in agriculture and solid mineral sub-sectors if he is elected. He brandished his records in public service.
“As a former chairman Governors forum, and president of the Senate in my second lap at the senate, I have been tested and excelled in both capacities. I can therefore be trusted to manage the affairs of this country because, I always leave any office I occupied better than I met it.
“Having spent some years in high echelon of governance with distinction, I am aware of the challenges facing the country; which made me more prepared among my competitors to preside over the affairs of the nation at this critical time of our nationhood.
Saraki decried the level of hunger and insecurity in the country and blamed it on clueless and poor policy formulation of the incumbent government.
Party leaders and chieftains at the meeting included two former Kogi Governors, Idris Ibrahim and Idris Wada, State party chairman Sam Ohoutu and two former Secretaries to Kogi State Government Barrister Shola Ojo and Musa Ahmodu.
