A militant group identified as Black Marine, parading as the armed wing of the Biafra Nations League (BNL), has reportedly kidnapped a female oil worker believed to be a French citizen.
Africa Today News, New York gathered that the abduction happened on Thursday when a speed boat conveying her and other seafarers to work, was intercepted in the Idabato subdivision of Bakassi Peninsula, an area which was ceded to Cameroon many years ago.
The female worker whose name was not immediately made public is said to be working for Perenco Oil and Gas Company, which operates in the Rio Del Rey in the Gulf of Guinea.

Sources around the area told reporters that the victim’s speed boat was heading towards Ndian in southwest Cameroon.
Commissioner of Police, Alhassan Aminu when reached for confirmation said, “I’m yet in Abuja. Let me contact my officers first.”
In a related development, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo who is a former Niger Delta militant leader has debunked rumours surrounding his death while claiming that he is actually hale and hearty.
Tompolo said this while reacting to reports that he was shot dead in Bayelsa State during the House of Representatives primary election.
The High Priest of Egbesu Deity said, contrary to reports, he is doing well and was hale and hearty.
Tompolo’s denial was contained in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Bebenimibo.
