This announcement had been contained in a statement which the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) had released on Thursday.

Falana had also called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to make sure that they meet the demands of the lecturers and end the strike which started on February 14.
This comes less than 72 hours after Falana called on the Federal Government to submit a supplementary budget to appropriate ₦200bn to revamp federal universities across Nigeria.
“Based on our consultation with the leadership of ASUU, we have confirmed that the entire members of ASUU are prepared to call off the strike as soon as the FG/ASUU Renegotiated Agreement is executed by the Federal Government.
“In this circumstance, we are compelled to call on President Buhari to end the industrial action by directing the Minister of Education, Mr. Adamu Adamu to execute the Renegotiated Agreement. The Agreement should be executed as soon as possible in the public interest,” Falana said.
In another report, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has accused the minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, of insulting lecturers and spreading fake news about the ongoing industrial action.
Speaking on Thursday when he appeared on a television program, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke said that Ngige has resorted to fake news having failed to force its striking members to call off the strike by withholding their salaries for five months.
The ASUU president was reacting to the recent statement by Ngige, who said there is no collective bargaining agreement between the government and ASUU.
Osodeke said, ‘What the minister of labour has done is a complete insult to the character of people like Professor Nimi Briggs, Senator Chris Adighije, and Professor Olu Obafemi.
‘The minister instead of looking for how to resolve the problem is busy abusing his colleagues, abusing even the minister of education.
‘It is so sad that we have gotten to a stage where our children are lamenting at home and the minister of labour is busy churning out fake information and misinforming the public, trying to undermine the integrity of ASUU,’ he said.
