I Will Do Wonders In Osun State In 100 Days, Adeleke Vows
Senator Ademola Adeleke
The Osun state governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Saturday, asserted that the All Progressives Congress would not win the case disputing his triumph in the July 16 gubernatorial polls, the reason being that the election was free and fair.
The senator spoke at a march in Ijebu-Jesa to welcome the former commissioner for Finance who served under ex-governor, Rauf Aregbesola ‘s administration, Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, and his proponents that left for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
He noted that his primary objective was how to propel the state forward and pledged to show immediate influence on the states progress within the first 100 days of his administration.
‘The whole world knew that the election was free and fair. The APC is just wasting their time. They have the right to go to court but I can tell you, it is dead on arrival.’
‘Osun people, who have voted massively for us, should keep calm and not worry. This time around, the people of Osun State have spoken and it is the will of God.’
‘The only thing I’m concerned with now is how to make Osun great and I am promising that in my first 100 days in office, Osun will witness a massive change,’ Adeleke concluded.
Speaking at the campaign, Bolorunduro noted that he defected to the PDP with his proponents because the party was the genuine progressive.
Bolorunduro, who administered in the state cabinet during Aregbesola’s first term in office said, ‘My followers and I are defecting today (Saturday) to the PDP because it is the party for the progressives. It is a party that is transparent and not deceitful as the former party I was.’
‘I left APC because my glory was being covered and my contributions trampled upon. APC is full of deceit. There is nothing called progressivesm in that party.’
But responding to Adeleke, the Media Adviser to Osun APC chairman, Kola Olabisi, said the governor-elect should be ignored, adding that commenting on any matter before the court would amount to ‘committing subjudice’.
