Nation-building is constructing or structuring a national identity using the power of the state. Nation-building aims at the unification of the people within the state so that it remains politically stable and viable in the long run.
It is the season of lies and the rat race has begun. Funny pictures circulating the internet. I never knew the governor knew how to roast maize because I saw him assisting the maize seller roast her maize while the camera rolled. Neither did I know that the commissioner could make hair because I saw him in the saloon down my street holding a comb over a client’s hair and looking confused. He honestly didn’t look like he knew what to do, but again the camera was rolling, so I didn’t ask.
Dear sir, the last time I saw you was four years ago and the next time I am going to see you is four years from now, so I rather ask now, are you the messiah or should we expect another?

We are tired of being a joke and caricature. We are tired of the uncertainty and the bleak future. We are tired of the favoritism and tribalism. We don’t necessarily need a leader with six packs or from a particular region or tribe. We need a messiah. Someone with the dream and passion of the nation.
Someone with the skills, knowledge and ability to sail the nation to greater heights.
So, tell me, are you the Messiah?
If you are not, do not deceive us and feed on our desperation. We are fighting for a future. A future that includes your children. Do not be selfish to fend for today alone. We are hungry for a change-A positive one. Let us come together to build a nation that will be the envy of nations, for Nigeria is ours to plough and not to plunder.
