The presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi has been described as a ‘scam’ by the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
A spokesman of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dr. Daniel Bwala, anchored his remark on the fact that Obi visited residents of Benue State who were displaced by floods earlier in the week while wearing LP’s insignia.
The LP presidential candidate had suspended his 2023 presidential campaign when he visited Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, following the flood that affected the state.
Obi also called on presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the ruling All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu, respectively to follow suit.

According to him, if the candidates can purchase their party’s expression of interest form for millions of Naira, they should be able to render help to the victims who lost their belongings during the flooding.
However, Bwala accused Obi of campaigning while visiting those displaced by flood in Benue State.
Sharing a photograph of Obi with the displaced people, via Twitter, Bwala wrote: “Scam; he said he has put campaigns on hold to visit victims of flood. See him here with Labour Party logo. Everything about that movement is a scam.”
Bwala also criticized the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government over its inability to fulfil the promise of distributing 10 000 megawatts of power.
‘In 2016, APC said within 3 years they would produce Distributable 10k megawatts power to homes. When asked if they delivered in 2022, they started speaking in tongues. All Promises Cancelled,’ he wrote.
Africa Today News, New York recalls that Mr. Peter Obi had earlier announced the suspension of his campaigns over the plight of Nigerians who were experiencing flooding.
