In another controversial statement, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has made a recent disclosure that revealed that she is actually 43% Nigerian.
The mother of two had also made this known when she had held a conversation with a Senegalese-American actress and comedian Issa Rae, Nigerian-American comedian and writer Ziwe Fumudoh.
According to her, a couple of years ago she had taken a genealogy test which had revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.
She said, ”I was incredibly excited to sit down with Ziwe, a Nigerian American comedian, actor and writer.
”I had my genealogy test done a couple of years ago and I am 43 percent Nigerian.
The revelation came as a shock to Ziwe who excitedly shouted “No way” and further asked about the tribe in Nigeria she was from.
But Meghan answered, “I am going to start to dig deeper because anyone that I told especially Nigerians women are always like what?”
In another report, the Duchess of Sussex had lost the first round in her legal fight with Associated Newspapers. She dragged the Mail on Sunday and Mail Online to court over alleged breached of privacy after they published excerpts from private correspondence between her and her estranged father, Thomas Markle.
However, on Friday, 1 May, Mr. Justice Warby ruled against the Duchess and her husband, Prince Harry, who had claimed the newspaper had acted dishonestly.
The judge ruled it was “irrelevant”
He added that “Such issues are assessed objectively. The claimant’s arguments that motive and state of mind are among the circumstances to be considered are contrary to Campbell v MGN Ltd (the legal precedent involving supermodel Naomi Campbell).”
The Duchess was outraged when the Mail on Sunday published an article in February 2019.
