A former Minister of Education in Nigeria, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has asserted that the forthcoming presidential election in the country is a battle for the soul of Nigeria.
Ezekwesili made this assertion on Friday evening in a post shared via her verified Twitter handle which was obtained by Africa Today News, New York.
She pointed out that the darkness over the nation is not yet enough for those who love power for the sake of it and acquisitions, adding that they want to darken it more.

‘The darkness over our Land is not yet enough for those ‘who love Power for the sake of Power and acquisitions’, so they want to darken it more.
‘Will you allow them?’
Africa Today News, New York recalls that Ezekwesili had last month submitted that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi will get her vote because he scores highest in the rating among the top two candidates in the 2023 presidential race and she will vote for him ahead of others.
Ezekwesili made this submission during a Channels Television Hard Copy programme which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York adding that Obi and the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party – Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar respectively can easily be rated.
The former Vice President for the African Region of the World Bank said the top three candidates can easily be rated with public information available and having done her ratings, Obi is ahead of two other contestants.
Meanwhile, the February 25th elections in Nigeria is set to be the most keenly contested in Nigeria’s history.
