The spokesperson for the Atiku, Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala has denied that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is using the face of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, to campaign in some northern States.
Bwala offered this clarification on Thursday while fielding questions on an Arise Television Morning Show programme which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York.
Several reports have been made about some desperate moves by politicians in recent times ahead of the February 25th polls.
Africa Today News, New York had earlier reviewed a video circulating online which showed bags of rice bearing the face of Obi with the logo of the PDP.
However, Bwala has come out to say that it did not emanate from the PDP.

He said, ‘That is not true to have emanated from us. Why I am saying that is because if you go to Bauchi now, people are even reporting that the Governor of Bauchi State is with the G-5. So, could he be behind that? Certainly no.’
Meanwhile, Bwala had earlier labelled former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a ‘meddlesome interloper’, who is only striving to force a puppet on Nigerians through his endorsement of Obi.
Recall that Obasanjo had on New Year’s day stirred the hornet nest when he openly endorsed that former Anambra State governor and Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, in the letter.
However, Mr. Bwala, who spoke from his London location, accused Obasanjo of being the only one of five surviving past leaders meddling in the affairs of the country.
He also believed that the ex-president’s allusion to Obi as a needle with thread was disrespectful and reeked of an attempt to foist a puppet on the country.
