The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi has asserted that the Igbo race in Nigeria alone cannot make themselves president as shown by the Presidential aspiration of Peter Obi.
Umahi made the assertion on Monday while noting that he was never against the Southeast voting for Peter Obi during the last presidential election.
He spoke with his supporters at the Ebonyi international airport on Monday.
The governor pointed out that the Southeast must work with other regions to stand a chance of producing Nigeria’s president.
Umahi said: ‘The Southeast must work. It is not right to condemn Obi’s feat as the southeast has made a strong statement about it.’
