The Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured Nigerians that the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to bring all Nigerians including opposition parties together through a government of national unity.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment and spokesperson of the APC-PCC during the just concluded presidential election, Festus Keyamo (SAN), asserted that Tinubu as a unifier will bring everybody on board, including his co-contestants in the presidential election, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
In a similar vein, a faction of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide had called on Tinubu to reach out to other contestants in the spirit of sportsmanship, advising ‘that the national healing process should begin with the president-elect personally reaching out to Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi in person and not by proxy’.
Speaking in an interview with reporters on Monday, Keyamo, however, pointed out Tinubu will not condone corruption and will not ask any corruption cases against any individual to be withdrawn simply because they joined his party or government.

‘You don’t even have to call on Asiwaju Tinubu to bring the country together. When you talk of the real unifier, he is the one. You can see how he unified the party and steered it towards victory. So, it is not what anyone will have to call Asiwaju to do.
‘By nature, Asiwaju likes bringing everybody together and that is what I expect to happen when his government comes on board. We are all looking forward to that.’
Keyamo, however, said he will not withdraw the suit (FHC/ABJ/CS/84/2023) he instituted against Atiku over allegations bordering on money laundering even if he returns to the APC.
