A Professor of Law, Itse Sagay, SAN has come out to claim that Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the presidential election due to three factors he pointed out.
Sagay on Sunday during a Channels Television interview monitored by Africa Today News, New York said youths criticising the polls are ill-experienced in Nigeria’s elections.
According to him, the presidential election which was conducted on the 25th of February was credible.
Sagay also declared that those claiming electoral manipulations do not have evidence to show.

‘Most people who commented on the election are probably the youths who have not witnessed many elections in the history of Nigeria. This is the best election we have ever had, particularly those conducted by politicians.
‘I believe this election was controlled by ethnicity, religion, and capacity to organise. If you look at the results carefully, the man who performed credibly across the board is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
‘There is no evidence of manipulation as claimed. Can you imagine Tinubu losing in Lagos State? That shows you the extent of credibility of the polls,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Most Revd. Mathew Hassan Kukah who is the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese on Sunday rated the 2023 general election low as he said it failed to meet the expectations of a substantial size of the over 200 million Nigerian populace.
In his Easter message in Sokoto titled ‘Nigeria: Reconciliation postponed?‘ the cleric particularly slammed the violence that trailed the elections even as he charged the justices of the courts not to dash the hopes of Nigerians who are unhappy with the outcome of the polls.
Kukah said the situation has left Nigerians as men and women returning from a funeral with forlorn looks who believe that justice has eluded them. But he admonished them not to show their anger through violence, but transform it to a motivation to seek justice.
