The wife of late President Musa Yar’Adua, Turai have advised Remi Tinubu, the wife of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu to always exercise patience with her husband even as she prepares for the journey ahead.
Turai urged Remi to be patient because she’s the only true adviser of Tinubu.
She stressed that others would tell Tinubu what he needs to hear but she should never stop advising Tinubu.
The former First Lady disclosed this during an interview with BBC Hausa Service.
According to Turai: ‘This is because if her husband would be like Umaru, who stood for the right course, she would be the target.

‘She should be patient and never relent in advising him. She is the only one that will genuinely advise him.
‘Others would only tell him what he wants to hear.
‘The wife is the only one that would give him information and ask him to investigate.’
Meanwhile, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has described the late President as an embodiment of patriotism and exemplified excellence in public service.
He made this known on Saturday in a statement via his verified Twitter handle while paying a tribute to the late President who died May 5, 2010.
Africa Today News, New York had earlier reported that former President, Goodluck Jonathan, who was Yar’Adua‘s deputy, described him as a ‘great and selfless leader’ while the President-elect, Bola Tinubu described him as a ‘brother and friend.’
Describing the late President as a ‘brother and friend’, Tinubu said ‘As I prepare to take over the reins of leadership of this country on May 29, I am determined to follow the good examples set by leaders like Mallam Umaru Yar’Adua who showcased exceptional sense of propriety and selfless service to our dear country. Rest on dear brother. May your soul continue to find peace with your Maker.”
The President-elect on Friday made the glowing tribute in a statement released in Abuja by his media office entitled, ‘We’ll Never Forget You’.
Obi added that Yar’Adua was a believer in true governance, transparency and accountability.
