Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has revoked the sale of Hasiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital by the outgone administration of Alhaji Umar Ganduje in the State.
In a post via his Twitter handle on Sunday night which was sighted by Africa Today, Yusuf revealed this when he paid an assessment visit to the hospital.
The Governor pointed out that the hospital was once a haven for medical care to children and women in the state for over 30 years, but was sadly closed down by the previous administration and sold to an individual for a paltry sum.
He said the government would work towards renovating and re-opening it for public use.

‘Today, we paid an assessment visit to the Hasiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital, once a haven for medical care to children and women in our state for over 30 years, and which was closed down by the previous administration.
‘I’ve revoked its sale to an individual for a paltry sum. And, we shall now work towards renovating and re-opening it for public use,’ he tweeted.
Ganduje, over the weekend, offered reasons why he opted to be absent at the inauguration of Governor Yusuf last Monday.
He noted that he did not attend the inauguration due to concerns about the potential for violence between their supporters.
Ganduje made this revelation in an interview with BBC Hausa.
According to him, he has no any issues with the new government in the state.
The former Kano governor said, ‘Handing over can be divided into two aspects. The first is the transition of power, which involves the transfer of documents and information about the government’s operations, including completed projects, projects that were not completed, and advice for the incoming government.’
Ganduje said it was just hype, noting that he has a good relationship with the new government.
