The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has described the immediate past governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje as his ‘political boy’ who would not dare look him in the eyes.
Kwankwaso was reacting to Ganduje’s latest threat to slap him.
After meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Ganduje had threatened to slap Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso and Ganduje were at the Villa on Friday, and separately briefed President Bola Tinubu on the recent developments in the state.
Dismissing Ganduje’s threat, Kwankwaso said the former governor can’t look him in the face.
Speaking an interview with BBC Hausa service which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York, Kwankwaso said the former governor was confused when he issued the threat.

According to Kwankwaso: ‘I heard Ganduje saying he would slap me, but it’s an empty threat. He was just confused. These are all my boys politically.
‘They can’t even look at me straight in the face if we meet. He was in a confused state when he said that. If they see me, they would lower their gaze.’
Recall that Kwankwaso had on Saturday come out to confirm that he’s been offered the opportunity to serve in President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the capacity of a Minister or something close to that.
Kwankwaso pointed out that he was in the presidential villa on Friday, in continuation of the discussion of the matter with the President, as well as other issues particularly the ongoing rift between the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Kwankwaso, in an interview with BBC Hausa, on Saturday which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York, said they are on the final stage of the discussion on the role he will play in the government, and he will make a necessary statement in few days time when the discussion must have been concluded.
