The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has advised Dr. Olushola Odusanya, the newly appointed Director General of the National Centre for Technology Management, Ile Ife, to wholeheartedly embrace and prioritize the core purpose of the agency.
The monarch also urged Odusanya to ‘roll up his sleeves and settle down to work immediately’.
According to an official statement released on Monday the agency highlighted that it falls under the purview of NACETEM, which operates under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, overseeing the effective governance of technological advancements.
During a conversation with Odusanya, who assumed office on May 25, 2023, as appointed by the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, the Ooni stated that ‘The work at hand requires all the concentration you can give to it. Focus on the mandate of the agency without being swayed by issues that can distract your administration.’
‘Your appointment has my royal blessing and I hope that your tenure will move the all-important agency forward.’
In the statement, Dr. Odusanya, speaking beforehand, acknowledged the tremendous honor of being in the presence of the monarch. He expressed gratitude for the profound and enduring royal blessings bestowed upon him, affirming their impact on his memory.

Moreso, Dr. Odusanya noted his unwavering commitment to a proactive strategy, emphasising his dedication to driving NACETEM towards greater achievements. He pledged to exhaust all efforts in guaranteeing the agency’s unwavering fulfillment of its mandate.
During his courtesy visit to the Royal Father, Dr. Odusanya expressed that the primary purpose of his visit was to acknowledge the significant presence of NACETEM’s headquarters within Ooni’s domain. He further acknowledged the Ooni’s esteemed position as the gracious host to the agency, recognizing the invaluable role played by the monarch in fostering its operations.
With utmost gratitude, he expressed his sincere appreciation to the monarch for bestowing upon him the opportunity to lead the agency at this time. In his assurance to Oba Ogunwusi, he emphasised his unwavering loyalty and deep respect.
He vowed that his term would be marked by facilitating harmonious relationships with the locals of the ancient city of Ile Ife.
In a related development, Professor Adebayo Bamire, the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, joyfully hailed the appointment of Dr. Odusanya as the Director General of NACETEM, describing it as a heartwarming homecoming.
