President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday told Nigerians to have faith in God that the country will experience peace, stability and prosperity.
President Bola Tinubu, following the observation of the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at Dodan Barracks prayer ground, Lagos, shared a message of optimism with Nigerians, urging them to maintain their faith in God for peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation.
Stressing the importance of unity and collaboration, he appealed to the populace to avoid ethnic and religious rivalries.
In a statement conveyed by Dele Alake, the President’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, the President’s words were captured as follows: ‘I thank Almighty Allah for keeping us in good health till today and pray to Him to grant us robust health and prosperity. May our sacrifices turn to prosperity. We have to make the sacrifices and that is clear, we have to.’
‘But Allah will not give you a burden that you cannot carry. He is there for us. We must have faith in the country. Have faith in ourselves, believing that as citizens of this country, we must join hands to build the nation.’
‘No religious identity, no tribal identity, let us live with one another in joy and prosperity. Nigeria will see peace, stability and God will grant peace to those of us at the warfront.’

Also, President Tinubu extended his prayers to the Nigerian troops who are at the forefront of combat against insurgency. He relayed his sincere wish, as well as the nation’s, for their triumph in their ongoing efforts.
The Eid prayer commenced at 9 a.m. and was officiated by Sheikh Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abu-Nolah, the Chief Imam of Lagos State.
Following the Eid prayer, the Chief Imam proceeded to carry out the ritualistic slaughtering of a ram at the prayer ground, symbolizing the significance of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience to Allah’s command.
Also, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat conveyed felicitations on behalf of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to Muslims nationwide and in the state, rejoicing in the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities. He called upon them to unite in support of President Tinubu’s resolute commitment to uplifting the nation.
‘It is our duty to pray for our leaders. We must pray for our President that God should help him to succeed in the task before him.’
Noteworthy government officials and influential politicians present at the gathering include: Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, former Governor of Lagos State and immediate past Minister of Works and Housing, and Hon.
