Sensational Norwegian forward, Erling Haaland grabbed a brace on Friday night as English champions Manchester City thrashed newly promoted side Burnley 3-0 in premier league opener away from home.
Burnley, coached by former City’s captain Vincent Kompany collapsed heavily at home to the superior power of the Pep Guardiola’s side.
Africa Today News, New York reports that Haaland picked up from where he stopped last season, scoring the opener within four minutes into the match after a superb work from Rodri.
He squared the ball to Haaland, who beat James Trafford with a brilliant shot into the bottom left corner.
The gangling striker hit his brace towards the end of the first half, to make it 0-2 for the visitors.

Julian Alvarez passed the ball into the penalty area where Haaland collected it and quickly drilled it into the roof of the net via the underside of the bar.
Midway into the second half, City made it 0-3 against the homers. The ball rebounded to Rodri after a melee in the box, and he easily beat the keeper from close range.
Meanwhile, action will return today as the new season takes centre stage once again over the next 10 months.
