Reports reaching the desk of Africa Today New York has it that another Chibok girl, Mary Nkeki, has been rescued by troops of Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command.
She was rescued on August 14 along with her repentant insurgent husband identified as Adam, by troops of 81 Task Force Battalion at Dikwa during operation into the terrorists’ enclave.
The Theater Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi, revealed this to newsmen on Monday, August 21. Chibuisi said, ‘She is on serial number 55 of the abducted Chibok girl list.

‘While in captivity, she was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist,’
Chibuisi handed her over to Borno State Government officials after addressing the press.
He further said, “Since her rescue, she has undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility. Equally she has been adequately resuscitated and will be handed over to Borno state,”

Mary told newsmen shortly after she was handed over to the Borno State Ministry for Women Affairs officials that she gave birth to two female children for Adam, who are all deceased.
She said she and her husband, Adam, repented from insurgency and fled the terrorists enclave at the Dikwa axis, and reached a point where the troops rescued both of them.
However, since their rescue, she was separated from Adam, who, The PUNCH gathered, was taken to the repentant insurgents camp.
Mary is the 16th girl rescued by troops in recent months.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, on Wednesday, visited Niger State, following the killing of soldiers by bandits in an ambush on Sunday.
A Nigerian Air Force helicopter also crashed in the Shiroro area of the state on Monday, with bandits taking credit for it.
The COAS, during his visit on Wednesday to the Forward Operating Base Erena in the Shiroro LGA, ordered immediate reinforcement of troops with equipment to enhance their operational effectiveness.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Wednesday, quoted the Army chief as urging troops to be more resolute in bringing the nation’s adversaries to their knees.
