The Nigerian Armed Forces, led by Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, have once again affirmed their resolve to tackle the security challenges within the country.
This declaration came during Gen. Christopher Musa’s condolence visit to the Emir of Zazau, Malam Ahmed ed Bamalli, in Zaria, Kaduna State, on Friday evening.
He gave his word that the country’s security issues would soon be resolved and asked for prayers to support the military’s efforts.
Musa, along with a group of senior military officers, expressed sympathy for the unfortunate demise of eight worshippers in a mosque collapse.
The CDS, on behalf of the Armed Forces, shared condolences and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in this sorrowful incident.
He said: ‘I am in Kaduna for the Passing-out parade at Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, but felt I should take time out to pay you this condolence visit.’
‘As a father to me and the entire north, I count on your support and prayers so that we succeed in our various operations.’

‘I was here severally, I was in here in Zaria as the Commandant, Nigerian Army, Depot, and now as a Chief of Depence Staff, to God be the glory’.
Africa Today News, New York, reported that on August 11, a section of the historic 150-year-old Zaria Central Mosque collapsed during a congregational prayer, leading to the tragic deaths of eight worshipers and injuries to 25 others.
In his response, Bamalli thanked for the visit and praised President Bola Tinubu for his choice of Gen. Musa for the appointment.
Bamalli pointed out that the appointment was strictly based on merit, but he also expressed his admiration for Mr. President’s decision to appoint a qualified military officer from Kaduna State for this position, a choice he believed deserved recognition and applause from the state’s residents.
He expressed optimism that the current administration would successfully tackle security challenges in various regions of the country.
The royal leader reiterated that continuous prayers for the success of the CDS and the government would be offered by the council and the state’s citizens.
