The election of the Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ishaku Abbo has been nullified by a Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, Africa Today News, New York reports.
Recall that Abbo was earlier elected in February 2023 under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, the court, ruled in favour of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amos Yohanna and he is expected to be sworn in as the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In another report, President Bola Tinubu had on Monday inaugurated three ministers who were recently screened and cleared by the Senate.
Those inaugurated are Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Kwara State) Ayodele Olawande (Ondo) and Balarabe Abbas Lawal (Kaduna State)
They were inaugurated together by President Tinubu after their recitations before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Ibrahim is to serve as the Minister of Youth while Olawande (Ondo) will serve as the Minister of State for Youth.
Lawal is to serve as the Minister of Environment.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume announced to the council, the demise of Nigeria’s first Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, who passed on 1st of July.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the late Ajose-Adeogun was a two-time Federal Commissioner for Cooperatives and Supply before his appointment as the Federal Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of the Federal Capital Development Authority.
He superintended the planning and the design of the Master Plan of Abuja during his time as the FCT Minister.
He was appointed the Minister of Federal Capital in 1976 by the Murtala Mohammed military administration and served in the position till 1979.
He died at the age of 96.
