Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined the league of well-wishers in congratulating Hope Uzodimma on his re-emergence as Governor of Imo State. Sanwo-Olu announced on his social media handle on Sunday.
His caption read, ‘I hereby congratulate my brother and the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma, for emerging victorious in Saturday’s gubernatorial election.’
‘I am glad that Governor Hope Uzodinma was returned by the good people of Imo State after a convincing victory over his opponents as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission at the poll.’
‘Governor Hope Uzodinma’s re-election affirms his administration’s good performance in the last four years. I believe strongly that he was re-elected because he delivered beyond the expectations of the Imo people during his first term.’

Africa Today News, New York, reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Hope Uzodimma as the victor in Imo State’s gubernatorial election, which took place last Saturday.
The All Progressives Congress candidate, Uzodimma, clinched the election with an impressive 540,308 votes, leaving Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party in second place with a total of 71,503 votes.
Athan Achonu, running under the Labour Party banner, clinched the third position in the election with a respectable 64,081 votes.
