Suella Braverman, who was ousted from her role as Home Secretary, has reacted publicly to the action taken by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Braverman’s removal by Sunak came in the wake of her polarizing comments about rough sleeping being a “lifestyle choice” and her criticism of the Metropolitan Police’s management of recent pro-Palestinian protests.
In a series of statements, Braverman persistently termed pro-Palestine marches in London as “hate marches” and, in a letter to The Times, claimed that the protests echoed troubling scenes from Northern Ireland, comments that faced broad condemnation for their perceived incendiary and inaccurate nature.

Her prospects took a hit last week as she disobeyed instructions from Number 10 to temper an article likening the pro-Palestinian Armistice Day rally to sectarian marches in Northern Ireland.
The article raised concerns about her undermining the operational independence of the Metropolitan Police, as she argued that during the Covid-19 pandemic, police officers were unforgiving towards lockdown objectors, contrasting this with perceived leniency towards rule-breaking by Black Lives Matter demonstrators.
Following her dismissal, Braverman pledged that she would “have more to say” as she addressed the public.
‘It has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve as Home Secretary,’ she said. ‘I will have more to say in due course.’
Suella Braverman’s supporters are reportedly scheduled to assemble in Parliament tonight to strategize on their ‘next steps’ following her dismissal as Home Secretary.
Mrs. Braverman as part of a comprehensive Cabinet reshuffle is expected to bring together two factions on the Tory Right for a joint meeting.
