Mr. Joseph Aloba who is the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad, has come out to warn that nobody should collect his son’s body for burial without his authorisation or consent.
He made this known in a video shared on TikTok on Sunday night which was obtained by Africa Today News, New York.
‘When this boy was alive, he was my son. When he go, he still retained my name. Nobody should go there and take his body, please,’ he warned.
The singer’s father added, ‘If they want to do anything there, I’ll be the one to authorise them. Nobody should go and carry MohBad’s body from there.’
Africa Today News, New York reports this is coming less than 48 hours after singer Bella Shmurda and actress Tonto Dikeh, made frantic calls asking for the release of MohBad’s body for burial.
Dikeh, who has been at the forefront of the fight for justice for the late singer had expressed disappointment over the release of popular singer, Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley and show promoter, Sam Larry, from detention by the Lagos State Police Command.
Africa Today News, New York recalls that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were released on Friday after meeting their bail conditions.
The two were recently taken into custody due to their purported role in the events leading up to Mohbad’s killing. Following several images and videos that appeared online a few days after the singer’s untimely death on September 12th, they were arrested.
On 6th of October, they were charged and placed under remand for their claimed roles in the events leading up to the young artist’s death.
In her reaction to their release from detention in a lengthy Instagram post, Dikeh accused the police of being careless and slow in investigating the matter.
The singer died at 27 on September 12.
