English Premier League defending champions, Manchester City on Wednesday night returned to the top four on the standings after coming back from a goal down to thrash Everton 3-1 at the Goodison Park.
Everton got on the scoresheet first past midway into the first half after Dwight McNeil picked out Jack Harrison with a good pass, and he latched on to it deep inside the box and beat the goalkeeper.
Towards the end of the first half, Ederson pulled off a superb save. He leapt to block the shot Jack Harrison fired on target after a rebound. His effort from inside the box flew straight towards the roof of the net but was stopped by the goalkeeper.
City equalised shortly after the break. Phil Foden scored an incredible goal after receiving a pass, made some space for himself and unleashed a long-range thunderbolt of a shot past the goalkeeper into the bottom right corner.

In the 61st minute, Julian Alvarez stood over the free kick and opted to take it himself, sending it towards the left post only for Jordan Pickford to dive and make a save.
Alvarez made it 1-2 for City from the penalty spot after Amadou Onana handled the ball inside the box. The Argentine sent Pickford the wrong way and fired the penalty into the middle of the goal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a golden chance to level for Everton. He met a cross in the box and found some space for a shot. He produced an inaccurate effort that went wide off the right post.
Four minutes before the end of the game, the keeper’s mistake after his poor pass was easily intercepted by Bernardo Silva, who gleefully found the net from mid-range with a first-time effort.
