The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has initiated an in-depth examination of the terms and protocols governing the sale of homes within the framework of the National Housing Programme.
This action transpires two months after the ministry annulled provisional letters of allocation extended to participants of the National Housing Programme, showcasing a substantial policy reassessment.
In the process of reviewing sales conditions and procedures, the ministry disclosed that impacted subscribers include beneficiaries from the program’s first to the 14th batch.
In a statement endorsed by Mahmud Mamman, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Housing, on Thursday, the ministry underscored that the ongoing review is an essential element of the forthcoming housing sales program. The statement beckons both domestic and international individuals to apply by obtaining Expression of Interest Forms.
As per the official statement, individuals who received a provisional offer of allocation between 2022 and 2023 are encouraged to reapply during this round, according to the ministry’s announcement.
It stated, ‘Interested subscribers who were offered a provisional offer of allocation that elapsed between 10th March 2022 and 18th October 2023 are free to reapply by completing the Expression of Interest Form.’

It stated, ‘All interested subscribers are to obtain their Expression of Interest Forms from the office of the Federal Controllers of Housing and Urban Development in the 36 states of the Federal and the FCT at no cost.’
‘However, Nigerians in the diaspora who are interested in subscribing to the houses are to obtain their Expression of Interest Forms from the office of the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.’
