Armed Forces Seen Patrolling Former Emir Ado Bayero's Palace

It has been reported that a contingent of soldiers has been stationed at the residence of deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, a move that comes after Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s decision to strip him of his title.

With the stroke of his pen, Governor Yusuf not only repealed the Kano Emirates Council Law but also issued a 48-hour eviction notice to the deposed Emirs, mandating them to surrender their palaces.

Sources reveal that the remaining Emirs – Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero (Bichi), Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa (Rano), Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II (Karaye), and Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir (Gaya) – have adhered to the governor’s instruction, vacating their palaces as directed.

Just days after his dethronement, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero made a unexpected comeback to Kano on Saturday, fueling intrigue and debate among residents.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero’s aircraft landed at Aminu Kano International Airport at 4:30 am, where a throng of loyal supporters, braving the pre-dawn hours, welcomed him with a rousing chant of a verse from Surah Al-Fatihah, a testament to their unwavering devotion.

They chanted, “You (alone) we worship, and you (alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).”

While some others were saying, “God the Almighty will kill your enemies.”

He later observed Subhi (dawn prayer) at the airport before proceeding to the mini-palace in Nassarawa.

Reacting to Ado Bayero’s actions, Yusuf ordered his immediate arrest, accusing him of creating tension in the state.

Yusuf, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, claimed that Ado Bayero was smuggled into Kano in an attempt to return to the palace two days after his deposition forcefully.

Nasarawa witnessed an unusual display of military presence as a team of soldiers arrived at the palace of the 15th Emir, following a direct order from the state governor. The unexpected move has raised eyebrows and generated buzz in the community.

Ado Bayero’s return was marked by an unusual display of military might, as a contingent of security operatives accompanied him from the airport to the mini-palace. However, the rationale behind the reinforcement of troops remains a puzzle.

Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has leveled a serious accusation against National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, asserting that he was instrumental in orchestrating the return of the dethroned Emir, a move that has sparked widespread controversy.

On Saturday, Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo sat down for a brief but revealing video interview at the iconic Emir’s palace in Gidan Rumfa, where he made a startling allegation that has sent shockwaves through the community.

He alleged that the NSA released two jets to bring Ado Bayero to Kano

He said, “The National Security Adviser gave two jets to bring the dethroned emir to Kano and to bring him to the place. We have not understood their intention.”

Earlier, Yusuf ordered the immediate arrest of Ado Bayero.

He said Bayero should be arrested for allegedly creating tension in the state.

The statement titled ‘Gov. Yusuf Orders Arrest of Deposed Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero,’ read, “The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered the immediate arrest of the former Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, for creating tension in the state.
