Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Sunday that Israel is nearing the full realization of its strategic objectives in Iran, following U.S.-led overnight airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, authorized by President Donald Trump.
Speaking to reporters, Netanyahu reaffirmed that Israel’s primary goals remain the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and missile capabilities. “We are advancing steadily, and we are now very, very close to fulfilling these objectives,” he stated, underscoring the coordinated efforts between Washington and Tel Aviv in the escalating regional conflict.
He added that “when they have been reached, the operation will finish”.
Israel launched large-scale attacks on Iran on June 13 targeting its missile and nuclear facilities, as well as military leaders and security services.
The United States struck three nuclear sites in Iran overnight with massive bunker-busting bombs after days of speculation as to whether it would join Israel’s campaign.

US President Donald Trump said Iran’s nuclear enrichment sites had been “totally obliterated.”
Asked about the location of Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile, he said Israel had “interesting intelligence” but declined to elaborate.
There has been speculation that some of it might have been moved out of the underground Natanz and Fordo facilities before the American airstrikes.
“We’re following that,” he told reporters.
“We’ve been following it very closely… we have interesting intelligence on that which you’ll excuse me if I dont share with you.”
The Israeli military confirmed on Sunday that it was still assessing the full impact of the U.S.-led airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, cautioning that it was “too early” to determine whether all of Iran’s stockpiles of highly enriched uranium had been successfully neutralized.
This follows reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that, as of 2021, Iran had enriched uranium up to 60% purity—just a technical margin away from weapons-grade levels, which begin at 90%.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Air Force continued its offensive across Iran on Sunday, launching strikes on what it described as “dozens of targets,” including missile launch sites used in recent attacks on Israeli territory. According to an army statement, these operations are part of ongoing efforts to degrade Iran’s offensive capabilities.
By Sunday evening, Israeli forces had initiated a fresh round of strikes, this time targeting Tehran and several locations in the western regions of the country, signaling an intensifying phase in the conflict.
