Alexander Isak remains under contract with Newcastle United, and at no point has any commitment been made by a club official permitting him to leave this summer. We value Alex highly—not only for his quality on the pitch but also for the professionalism he has shown since joining the club.
Like every football club, we want to keep our best players. At the same time, we recognize that players may have personal wishes regarding their careers, and we always listen carefully to their views. As has been explained to Alex and his representatives, however, Newcastle United must prioritize the best interests of the club, the team, and our supporters in every decision. With that in mind, we have been transparent that the conditions for a potential sale this summer have not been met. We do not foresee those conditions materializing in the current window.
