Africa generally is currently witnessing unprecedented creations in various genres of music. And just like California is home to all kinds of motion pictures entertainment in the USA, Nigeria is the headquarters of music, media and theatrical entertainment in Africa which have produced the legendary likes of Fela Kuti, Majek Fashek, Tubaba to the younger generations of Rudeboy, Flavour N’abania, Wiskid, and Davido.
This success is not just in music but equally replicated in the film/theatre industry where you have the likes of the older generation of filmmakers/theatre practitioners such as Wole Soyinka, Femi Osofison, Tunde Kelani, Chico Ejiro, Zeb Ejiro, Andy Amenechi, Teco Benson, Tarila Thompson to the younger ones like Omoba Oyebanj James, Tchidi Chikere, Clarence Peters, and many others.
Now, joining the league of these music maestros is B-Slik, a college graduate that went in pursuit of his first love – music immediately after graduation.
B-Slik’s high pitched velvet-smooth voice, lyrical expression and infusion of contemporary African beats make him stand out amongst the up comers in the world of Afro Hip-hop.
Describing B-Slik, a top Nigerian prolific music producer that wishes to remain anonymous said; “To be honest with you, he is the best young act coming out of Africa. I have produced many upcoming artistes of different genres of music but particularly Afro Hip-hop and I can tell you that his style dwarfs all of theirs.”
B-Slik’s latest single, “Trigger My Heart” is a song that sets the head into pleasurable nodding, and swinging of hips once on play.
