Facebook, a leading social media platform with over 1.4 billion daily users is going to be investing $300 million to promote journalism. The social media giant led by the American technology entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mark Zuckerberg, made this known on Tuesday.
The project will include donations to the Pulitzer Center, and the British-domiciled Community News Project basically to promote local news, and support newspaper journalism. The initiative will also help in funding the training of prospective journalists
