Rising from an emergency meeting yesterday in Awka, the group working under the aegis of Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants (AAAA), led by Mbaso Onyeka, alleged that members spent several millions of naira during the botched primaries covering funds for collection of forms for state assembly, National Assembly, Ad Hoc personnel etc.
Onyeka, recalled that Governor Obiano earlier agreed to refund such money to them but has failed to redeem his promise, warning, “If he fails, APGA will cease to exist after the March 9, 2019 election.” Onyeka warned that Obiano has the chance to negotiate with them if the party is serious about surviving, adding that their demand is that Oye must go and their money refunded intact. “Victor Oye has failed APGA woefully, he has no capacity to pilot the affairs of the party and must resign”, lamenting that the party is going down under his leadership.
Charles Ebulu of the governors’ APGA Reconciliation Implementation Committee regretted that Obiano has reneged and never fulfilled any of the agreements reached with the over 500 members of AAAA.
